Later would be better for me, but I'll definitely be getting to bed earlier than my usual tonight. Do you have a pair of large snap-ring pliers and some safety glasses?

Cheers,
-Kit

Thanks for the help Kit. I couldn't find anything about how to treat the eccentric before installing back into the swingarm. Not even that it should go in clean/dry. Kt told me a little anti-sieze will help with the problem of locking found with this system.

Put about 60 miles on last night. Man have I missed the triple! Also, my opinion confirmed that it takes 105 on the triple to equal the sensation of 65 on the Bonnie.

Slices traffic like a hot knife through butter. This bike is an excellent commuter. Need to check intake (filter, balance, seals) as it runs just a little uneven. I bled and bled the front, better but still soft. Probably me not doing twin callipers properly.

The 2000 sits down into the frame more than the 1050 S3. More like the Daytona. So it gives a nice snug fit. Man it feels good to be on a triple. I'd not give up my Thruxton for one, but adding to gives me a happy garage.

I'm working my way through the shake down on the bike. Most of the fluids are done, but still need to do coolant and forks.

I'd like some help with checking valves. I'm still not comfortable with the Bonnie, but I assume the triple is much the same.

It runs strong under load and at idle, but rolling at 2500-3500, there is some uneveness. I have air and fuel filters to install, and will give the airbox seals a good look when i open it up, and will also change plugs. Not knowing the system, I'd think a problem with the balance, or pressure may be the source. It could be mapping, but I know Lone Star updated the maps in 06.

As for pimping, I'll pull the motocross bars and probably put drops on. Still reading to know for sure. And sliders. I'll leave the bike like this for a while as I get used to it.

I've only put a few hundred miles on, so everything is brand new. But man is it fun to be back on a triple!
